How does Coaching Work?

  • I’m with you every step of the way on your personalized health journey. We’ll meet once per week or as desired, by phone or Zoom to check in, set goals, and make a plan. You’ll experiment, learn, and see what works best for you. With consistency and practice, you’ll create sustainable habits.

    I work in all areas of wellness and like to start with getting you active if you’re not already since exercise is so important for good health. And, physical activity feels good so you’re going to want to make more healthy improvements in your life after you get going.

  • Exercise and healthy habits look different to everyone. You may want to walk, or dust off your exercise bike and ride, or dance. You might be exercising already and want to add stretching or strength training. You choose! I coach people of all abilities and levels of activity.

    When you’re ready, we’ll capitalize on your momentum and add in another healthy habit, such as making more intentional food choices, stress management, sleep, mindfulness or anything you choose. I’m confident that when you make the effort, you’re going to feel better.

    I will meet you where you are, with kindness and a listening ear. Together, through a process of self-discovery, we will find your motivation and experiment with strategies so you can meet your goals and feel better.

  • I am skilled at building a respectful and collaborative relationship with my clients. I use coaching skills including motivational interviewing, positive psychology and self-determination theory to identify your strengths, values, and desires - and help you make positive changes in your life.

    Through practice and increased confidence, you will be empowered to maintain lasting change and will learn the skills to be self-sufficient and able to make continued progress independently. I am confident you can make lasting improvements to your life.
